Our Passion

How We Started

Gary and Cecil’s journey started long before they became business partners. At the age of 13, Gary moved to Richmond and met Cecil, sparking a friendship that would eventually evolve into a shared passion for food. Gary discovered his love for cooking early on, and by 18, he realized that food wasn’t just a hobby—it was a way to connect with diverse cultures and people.

For Cecil, the path to cooking came later. After years of feeling unfulfilled in corporate America, he realized that cooking was the one thing that brought him peace and purpose. Leaving behind his corporate career, he dove headfirst into the culinary world, working in fine dining restaurants, from seafood to steakhouses. Together, Gary and Cecil founded TC Custom Catering & Events, a business born from their love for good food and their desire to bring people together.
